Social & Support Groups                         Planet Positive social nights have become a mainstay on QPP’s calendar since the first one in May 2006, regularly attracting over 50 people.  This quarterly social event is eagerly anticipated as an opportunity to get out and about, meet up with old friends and potentially meet new ones.   Planet Positive started several years as an initiative of PLWHA Victoria as a fun, social and safe night out for HIV+ people and their friends.  It then was adopted by PLWHA NSW (now Positive Life NSW) as well as QPP to provide the same thing to PLHIV in each state.  On World AIDS Day 2007, QPP held the first Planet Positive in Cairns which is becoming a regular event like it is in Brisbane. This year Planet Positive will hopefully go from strength to strength, with further development in regional areas.
