Gay Men and Hepatitis C – Is a new resource leaflet which aims to inform gay men (and their health care providers) of the emerging risks of sexually acquired hepatitis C, particularly amongst PLHIV. The resource also aims to encourage testing if at risk, and to raise awareness that early treatment of hepatitis C is highly successful (a good reason to encourage regular testing). The resource further aims to allay some of the myths around sexual transmission thereby reducing feelings of panic or fear.
